Here's something most people don't know: in Utah, a homeowner washing their own car in their own driveway is a normal, allowed use of water — and in communities like Daybreak, the HOA's own standards say so explicitly. But a professional detailer's wash water is a different matter, and South Jordan's stormwater guidance is clear that commercial wash water doesn't belong in a storm drain.
No rule forced us to build our process around that — we did it because we live here too. Jordan Valley Detail uses low-water and rinseless methods wherever the vehicle allows, contains wash water with mats and berms when a full rinse is needed, and takes it with us when we leave.
